Conte laughs off Jose Mourinho's comments after 'disappointing' Burnley draw
Chelsea boss Antonio Conte laughed off Manchester United manager's Jose Mourinho's comments as 'jokey play' after the Blues' 1-1
The former Blues boss accused Conte's side of being 'defensive' yesterday, in an apparent jibe at his ex team.
However, Conte denied to respond to the comments and feels it is all just mind games.
Conte joked: "I don't like to respond to other managers. I don't like this jokey play. I have a bit of experience about this."
The Blues were held to a draw at Turf Moor, after Robbie Brady's wonderful free-kick chalked off Pedro's early strike.
And Conte did not point the fingers at this players, but did admit he was disappointed about the draw.
"A tough game. In the press conference I said Burnley for sure at home is one team and away is another team.
"When you see that have 29 points at home you know they are a tough team. Despite this we must be bit disappointed because we started well.
"We created a chance to score and then scored the goal. In the second half we tried with all our strength to win the game, but it didn't happen. It is a pity, but we tried to play football. We tried to create chances against a strong team.
On Burnley
"I have great respect for Burnley, I don't like to judge the other teams. I have great respect for the other teams. Burnley in the table at home are third with 29 points."With Chelsea 34, Tottenham 33 and then Burnley. They are doing a great job.
"The pitch is small and it is better for the team that defends and plays the long ball.
"You have less pitch to cover, there is a good atmosphere and I think it is right to have this type of atmosphere. For all of these reasons they have taken these points."
On his team
"I am disappointed because our mentality is that we must always try to win, we tried to do this today but sometimes we must understand that there are tough games."This game was very tough, I am disappointed for the point, not the commitment and the fight and will to try to win the game. I like to win and to always to take the three points."
