A grandma who was so impressed by a young man working in a grocery store that she wrote in a comment has gone viral for also including a sideswipe at her own grandson.
The anonymous elderly woman was recently craving one of her favorite snacks - yogurt-covered cranberries - when she headed to her local Kroger store in Lexington, Kentucky, and was helped out by a 'fine young man'.
She was so impressed by this employee's help that she wrote a customer comment praising his performance - and her words have been posted at the front of the store for two weeks running.
But it isn't necessarily the praise for the young man, Nathaniel Hunter, that has since made images of the comment go viral. Rather it is the fact the she openly wishes her own grandson, Tyler, was more like him.
'I was having one of those late night cravings, you know how it is,' the note begins as the grandma talks about her love for yogurt-covered cranberries, saying she simply 'could not wait till the next day.'
'I entered the store and was looking for them. I met a fine young man named Nathaniel Hunter. I asked him if he could direct me to the item I so desired this evening,' she said.
'Instead of merely pointing me in the direction he walked me over to the trail mix machines. He then helped me navigate those darn contraptions.'
The women wrote that as she left the store, her cranberries in hand, she 'couldn't help but wish my own grandson could be more like Nathaniel.'
'Don't get me wrong I love my Tyler to death, but he is so rude to me sometimes. Whenever I ask for computer help he just tells me to Google it. His mother says it's only a phase, I hope so.'
She goes on to say that she hopes to run into Nathaniel again and convince him to become friends with her troublesome grandson, in the hopes he will be 'a good influence.'
An image of the printed comment on display in the Euclid Avenue store was snapped by Imgur user, ChickenNuggetsIsGoodForMe, who
posted it to the site claiming it had already been up for two weeks.
'Get your s*** together, Tyler. Be more like Nathaniel,' the user added in the caption.
The post has already proved popular with other users, being viewed more than 175,000 times in just two days.
