Manchester United have Agreed Terms with “Great” Star
Manchester United’s first choice goal keeper David De Gea’s future is up in the air again with Real Madrid looking to sign him.
Earlier in the day, we covered a report (via Mirror) claiming that Mourinho wants Madrid to include Toni Kroos in any proposed deal for the Spanish shot stopper.
On the other hand, last night, Manchester United confirmed on their official website that they have agreed terms and signed a new contract (until 2021) with Argentine goalie Sergio Romero.
The former Sampdoria goalie was in outstanding form for the Red Devils last season as Mourinho preferred him ahead of De Gea in the cup competitions
The 30-year-old star featured in 18 games for the British giants in the last campaign and kept no fewer than 12 clean sheets.
In the Europa League, Romero featured in 12 games, conceded only 4 goals and kept 8 clean sheets. United lifted the trophy after beating Ajax 2-0 in the final.
Jose Mourinho heavily praised the South American goal keeper and claimed that he deserved the new deal (MUFC).

“Sergio is a great goalkeeper and professional. He had a good season and outstanding performances, especially in our Europa League success. Sergio deserves his contract, and for Manchester United to have Sergio and David is amazing in such an important role.”In your opinion, is Sergio good enough to replace De Gea if the Spaniard departs this summer?
